Our Story

Nestled in the northern city of Lampang, Thailand, surrounded by rich fields of sugar cane, cassava, and other agricultural products, Lampang is also renowned for its ceramic making and horse riding culture.

Known historically as Wiang Lakon and Khelang Nakhon, Lampang is the third largest town in northern Thailand and a hub for trading and transportation.

In this vibrant town, we take pride in crafting our community-distilled spirit, Rueabaingoen. Harnessing over 60 years of local distilling expertise, we emphasize the value of local flavors and a distinctive aroma.

Our main ingredients include black glutinous rice enriched with minerals from Chae Son and cocoa from Wang Nuea District, combined with a special local yeast for fermentation.

Every step of our process is meticulously controlled, from temperature and environment to perfecting the recipe.

After receiving the necessary licenses for the recipe, label, and new packaging from the Excise Department, Rueabaingoen 2024 is born.

The Minds Behind the Sailing

Nong

The owner of Rueabaingoen, coming from a family that made this local brand known for over 20 years. Nong grew up learning the secret of making white spirit or “Lao Khao” from sticky rice, involving selecting the best ingredients, fermentation, distillation, aging, and blending to create the community-distilled spirit. Now, he joins hands with new team members.

Mud

Known as the brand builder, Mud joins forces to carry the secret and add new ingredients and knowledge into making Rueabaingoen 2024 a reality and a taste full of flavors. With over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Mud ensures cleanliness, quality, and the best ingredients in every step.

S-Surasit

The operation manager works together to make this brand a strong product, from sourcing local ingredients to controlling the environment to make each flavor stand out. With experience owning a production facility, S-Surait manages the distillation process, temperature control, and ensures the perfect alcohol content.

Juii

Supports brand creation and marketing communication to tell the story of Rueabaingoen. From a local brand, Juii aims to make Rueabaingoen widely known, not just as a souvenir from Lampang but as a key ingredient in new recipes that everyone can enjoy, sailing the boat of happiness through the taste of Rueabaingoen.
